Beam Marks Settings

Configure automated numbering and labeling logic for structural beam elements.

Beam Label Types

The label type determines which spatial parameters are concatenated to form the beam's unique identity mark.

Comprehensive Grid, Level, Orientation & Zone

Incorporates all available spatial parameters into the mark.

Standard Grid, Level & Orientation

Generates identity marks excluding the Building Zone.

Spatial Level, Orientation & Zone

Focuses on plan orientation and zone without grid references.

Active Selection Level & Orientation

Standard marking type identifying beams by floor level and direction.

Minimal Orientation & Zone

Useful when considering only the orientation on plan and zoning.

Basic Orientation Only

Simplest marking type, labeling beams solely by plan orientation.

Numbering Preference

Define the specific numbering sequences based on the beam's geometric orientation on the floor plan.

Orientation Preference Options Description
Horizontal on Plan Even, Odd, Decimal Sets numbering style for beams running along the X-axis.
Vertical on Plan Even, Odd, Decimal Sets numbering style for beams running along the Y-axis.
Inclined on Plan Even, Odd, Decimal Applies to beams placed at an angle.
Arcs and Spline Even, Odd, Decimal Specifically for curved structural elements.

Global Parameters

  • Prefix: Character string (e.g., "B") added to the start of every mark.
  • Building Zone: Defines a specific zone name for applicable label types.
